General objective:

Promote the implementation of international labour standards for seafarers.
 

Specific objectives:
 

• To understand the roles of public and private organizations in the flag state, port state and 
  worker supply state in the implementation of the MLC, 2006.
• To deepen the protection of seafarers based on the implementation of the MLC, 2006.
• To elaborate on the implications of the ratification of the MLC, 2006 for countries.
