General Objective:

Share the learning gained from the experience in LAC in the provision of psychosocial support of children on the move based on evidence and data oriented and oriented to provide a quality service to protection and care and guarantee the right to their mental health.

Specific Objectives:

• Promote a space for analysis and reflection on the importance of psycho-social support for children in the context of human mobility processes.
• Identify existing good practices evidence-based in the provision of psychosocial care services to children on the move in LAC, considering the specialization of the child approach, the different phases of the migration cycle and other elements that affect the service.

General Objective

The overall objective of the seminar is to equip government officials and stakeholders with a comprehensive understanding of migration governance and legal identity. This includes data protection, the use of identity documents to access essential services and the verification and acceptance of alternative documents, in line with the objectives of the Global Compact on Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration. In addition, the seminar will address the roles of consulates and visa procedures, enhancing the flexibility and efficiency of consular services to facilitate regular migration channels. This will enable participants to effectively support and build capacity for legal identity management, as well as the management of visa, admission and stay procedures, particularly for diasporas and migrants in the RCM region.

To facilitate an understanding of migrant remittance dynamics in the RCM region, exploring their significance for recipients and the importance of the contribution of diasporas at different levels.

1. To learn about the impact of remittances on the communities of origin in the Member Countries of the RCM.
2. Facilitate knowledge exchange on solutions for reducing transfer costs and improving the efficiency of remittance systems.
3. Explain the importance of measuring the economic impact of the diaspora beyond remittances.
4. To learn about the importance of engaging, enabling and empowering diasporas for development

Structural meeting of the RCM, attended by officials in charge of migration management and foreign affairs institutions.

To present the updated Guide to Effective Practices and analyze migration and human mobility in 
the context of disasters, environmental degradation, and climate change.
 

Specific objectives
 

1. Introduce the newly added pillars to the Guide: climate change, gender, and human rights, highlighting their importance in the context of cross-border displacement due to disasters.
2. Conduct a virtual training session for RCM Member Countries on human mobility in the context of disasters, environmental degradation, and climate change.
