General objective

Promote the exchange of information and capacity building for the search and identification of Missing Persons in the Context of Migration based on the Regional Recommendations adopted by the RCM, international human rights standards and the Global Compact on Migration.

Specific objectives

1. Review the implementation of the Regional Recommendations to Promote the Exchange of Information for the Search for Missing Persons in the Context of Migration.
2. To present the findings of the Analysis Report of the Mexican Foreign Support Mechanism for Search and Investigation (MAEBI) and its operation in Guatemala, Honduras, and El Salvador in cases of missing migrants.
3. Strengthen regional cooperation among States and other stakeholders to improve the collection of data on migrants who have died or disappeared during migratory transit, based on rigorous and scientific criteria.
